Bound, blindfolded, naked. What if those aren’t your fiancé’s hands? And what it that’s not his—?

Since childhood, Jeannie Granger has been both haunted and enchanted in equal measures by her uncanny resemblance to Hermione Granger from the Harry Potter movies.

Once beloved, those stories of witchcraft and magic became a misery when she was teased at school, but with the support of friends and the discovery of her true love, Jeannie finally learns to embrace her childhood fantasies ... and at the same time awakens a fierce and risk-taking sexuality she could never have suspected.

These two fantasies collide with explosive impact. One will be fulfilled and the other extinguished ... forever.

You know what's really nice? Finding a story that just about makes you choke laughing (twenty knot headwinds. How right you are).

You know what's better? Finding a story that doesn't make you want to jump ahead to the sex scene, because the rest of it is that much of a good tale.

You know what's best? Finding one that does both

The Author's Story

As I wrote in the Afterword, this was inspired by a story idea on the Literotica Story Ideas forum by @Ender27, who wanted a story where a husband and wife could be talking while one of them was secretly having sex. This is of course the topic of the final chapter, but Goodbye, Miss Granger has a lot more story than that.

I had that final scene in mind, and the fairground setting made me think of the final scene in Grease, with Danny and Sandy dancing around the fairground at the end of school. My couple needed to be married or engaged, so my heroine was suddenly a schoolteacher - not a schoolgirl. I needed a name: Miss...? Miss...? Miss Granger was the first thing that came to mind, not because of Hermione, but maybe that was in the back of my mind. By the time I'd selected a first name - Jeannie - I had Hermione in my mind, and my schoolteacher was going to be a Hermione lookalike who was continually the subject of Harry Potter jokes.

And so a story was born. I had the two seemingly unrelated elements to team up: a lifetime of Harry Potter jokes and secret sex in a fairground sideshow. How to put those together? Well, it wasn't easy.
