Dane’s investigation takes a stunning turn, leading him to a discovery he wasn’t searching for... perspective. This book easily ascends into that category with LaPage’s witty dialogue, creative story plotting and setting, and Paige’s inner voice narrative that simply peels paint off the walls with its eroticism. Ms. LaPage’s works deserves a look. This one’s a great place to start.

The Author's Story
In ideating the Heaven Sent series, I came up with a ton of ideas on how a wife could fulfil the “I never expected to get pounded in front of my husband, but here we are” plot that recurs throughout the series. The one-way glass scene was an obvious one; the trick was to make it plausible and interesting. Why are husband and wife on opposite sides of one way glass? And why, but the way, is some dude banging her?
The sole objective here was always to get Paige fucked in the strip club.
Setting up a scenario that put Dane behind the one-way glass was the challenge—getting him into the club then alone and exploring back-of-house all took a lot of positioning. The scene with Melodee was only filler to keep the temperature simmering, but gee it was a lot of fun. It’s another of my all time favourite plot devices—“Yes, his dick is inside her, but it’s not real sex.” If you like that device, check out Drive-by Creampie.
