The Author's Story
In the foreword of The Winsome Widow, I thank those from the Literotica Story Ideas Forum who planted the seed for this story in my head, as well as Stephen King, whose Storytelling Club from this short story The Breathing Method was a major inspiration.
What I don't say is that this is a very different story to what I intended. From where I started out - with Alex infiltrating The Winsome Widow in disguise - I intended to make her the willing focus of a gang bang in the finale. The entire story up to and including the scene with Alex and Evelyn beneath the table still had this ending in mind, but I found that I just couldn't do it. Oh, of course I could WRITE it, but when I'm writing, I'm also inside the character's head and I couldn't find Alex's motivation for wanting that.
Another thing that caught me by surprise was Evelyn; the idol was supposed to be to sole distributor of erotic pleasures. Evelyn just ... happened. And that of course made way for a new ending. I'm not unhappy with the way it all turned out and I've received a lot of online praise for the ending, so I think I made the right choice.
